Bentley Torcal: tests, launch and revision of electric ambitions
Bentley announces it has validated the battery, software and structure of its first electric model, the Torcal, over 621,000 miles of extreme testing. The manufacturer also says it tested the vehicle's resistance with projectile impacts at over 160 km/h. On October 31, Bentley unveils the Torcal First Edition, the launch version of its first series-production electric car, announced at 888 horsepower. On November 1, however, Bentley revises its electric ambitions downward and now plans just one electric model by 2030.
