# Tesla Roadster: new generation announced and prototype on display > Tesla is preparing the presentation of its new-generation Roadster, expected nearly ten years after pre-orders opened, with a prototype on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum and a retro-futuristic interface unveiled. The brand says arrival is “very soon,” while technical limitations are highlighted, including nitrogen thrusters and their long recharge phases. An original Roadster is meanwhile selling for more than the deposit required for the new model, and a US customer says they cannot cancel their 2017 reservation. The available information is mostly American, with a reservation dispute in the United States and a Dutch mention on the used market; French coverage provides no specific detail in the sub-events. **In brief**: Ongoing story bringing together 8 events involving Tesla, in 2 countries (États-Unis, Pays-Bas), followed from 30 October 2026 to 2 November 2026. 8 articles from 7 sources (launches and reviews, used cars and prices, sales and market); last updated on 2 November 2026 at 12:33. - Status: ongoing - Scope: International - Category: Launches and reviews, Used cars and prices, Sales and market - Countries: États-Unis, Pays-Bas - Brands: Tesla - First detected: 30 October 2026 at 16:03 - Updated: 2 November 2026 at 12:33 - Web page: https://mecapress.com/stories/24-tesla-roadster-new-generation-announced-and-prototype-on-display ## National stories (2) - United States — 2 country-specific events, 2 articles - France — 0 country-specific event, 2 articles ## Reported figures - €50.000 ## Sources by country and language - France: 2 articles, 2 outlets - United States: 2 articles, 1 outlets - China: 1 articles, 1 outlets - Germany: 1 articles, 1 outlets - Netherlands: 1 articles, 1 outlets - unknown: 1 articles, 1 outlets **Languages**: French (2), English (2), Chinese (1), German (1), Dutch (1), Spanish (1) ## Timeline (8 events) ### 30 October 2026 — [Un Tesla Roadster d'origine coûte plus que l'acompte du nouveau](https://mecapress.com/events/1444-un-tesla-roadster-d-origine-coute-plus-que-l-acompte-du-nouveau.md) Un exemplaire original du Tesla Roadster s'échange à un prix supérieur à l'acompte exigé pour le nouveau Roadster, dont la production est annoncée pour 2028. 1 sources, 1 articles · États-Unis, Pays-Bas ### 31 October 2026 — [Tesla Roadster thrusters limited by recharging](https://mecapress.com/events/94-tesla-roadster-thrusters-limited-by-recharging.md) The Tesla Roadster thrusters' 200-liter nitrogen tank would require long recharge phases for very brief use, limiting its everyday appeal. 1 sources, 1 articles · États-Unis ### 31 October 2026 — [Tesla unveils the interface of the new Roadster](https://mecapress.com/events/505-tesla-unveils-the-interface-of-the-new-roadster.md) The next generation of the Tesla Roadster is nearing production and unveils a retro-futuristic interface with racing telemetry and battery and motor temperatures. 1 sources, 1 articles · États-Unis ### 31 October 2026 — [Tesla Roadster announced "very soon"](https://mecapress.com/events/599-tesla-roadster-announced-very-soon.md) Tesla says the new Roadster will arrive very soon, a recurring announcement for a model delayed many times.
